Adding Pages

Creating new pages is done using the add page icon in the Express Bar. The icon is a large plus; the farthest one on the left side. Once clicked, a popup appears.

 
 

The Create Page interface

TheCreate Pageinterface allows users to enter information that will be used to create their page. This information can be modified at any time. The information that users are required to enter is:

  • Navigation Link (This is the anchor text for any links that point to this page. Used primarily in the Vertical Tree and Horizontal Navigation)
  • Main Page or Sub-Page Designation (This determines the hierarchical position in the page order, especially on the Vertical Tree)
  • Page Title

Other optional information that may be entered or modified:

  • Page ID (For advanced users only. It is not recommended this be modified.)
  • Page Group (Allows pages to be designated to separate templates)
  • Page Description (Will appear in META tag)
  • Page Keywords (Will appear in META tag)
  • Page is Visible to Public checkbox (If unchecked, page will be hidden from the public)
  • Save Description and Keywords for new pages checkbox.

Finishing

Once all desired information has been entered into theCreate Pageinterface, users may click the Create button to finish the process, and create a new page. If there is an error or users did not fill out all the required fields, they are returned to theCreate Pageinterface.
