2MExpress features a one-click website publishing tool that generally completes within a minute. Publishing occurs over the File Transfer Protocol (FTP).

Publishing requirements

In order to publish successfully, several requirements must be met. The destination server must have PHP 4 or greater, and the following FTP information of the destination server must be known:

• FTP Username
• FTP Password
• FTPPort
• FTP Address
• FTP Publish Folder

This information is generally entered into 2MExpress during the account setup process. However, this information may be entered or modified at any time by using the publishing settings page of the Express Panel by clicking the icon.

Important Notes about Publishing

• Publishing overwrites any existing files with the same filename on the destination server.
• Old site files are not removed during the publishing process. It is recommended users routinely clean out unused site files.
• 2MExpress automatically creates a landing page with the title “index.html.” The landing page filename may be changed at anytime via the publishing settings page of the Express Panel. If this field is empty, no landing page will be generated.

To publish a website

1. Click the in the Express Bar. (Farthest one to the right).
2. Click the Publish button.
