Templates

2MExpress' templates system is one of its strongest features. Templates allow a design, (any design) to be integrated into a 2MExpress powered website very easily.

What is a template?

A template is a website design, created to fit around the content area. A template includes: design images, a cascading style sheet, a color profile, html code, and a unique layout.

Where can templates be found?

Users are provided with a large collection of pre-designed templates that are ready to be used. These templates have been tested and are guaranteed to work and be displayed correctly with the 2MExpress system.

Choosing a template

Templates can be switched by using the templates dropdown box located in the middle of the express bar. Once the desired template has been selected from the list, click the select button.

Creating original templates

Advanced users may modify or create their own templates.

  1. Start by clicking the icon to access the Express Panel.
  2. In the Express Panel, click thetemplateslink on the left hand side.
  3. To modify a pre-made template or to create one from scratch, select a template from the list, and click Clone (every user can create upto 4 custom templates).
  4. The template will appear in the lower list. Select the template from the lower list, and click edit.
  5. A WYSIWYG editor will be launched.
  6. Inside the editor, modifications can be easily made to the existing template. OR users may delete all content, and create a new template from scratch. Visit the place holders page age of this documentation for a detailed listing of variables templates need to contain.
